In the weeks following FTX's collapse, investigative YouTuber Stephen Findeisen (Coffeezilla) conducted a series of interviews with Sam Bankman-Fried over Twitter Spaces and video calls. While mainstream media was still treating SBF with kid gloves, Coffeezilla pressed him directly on the missing customer funds, Alameda's relationship with FTX, and the fraudulent balance sheet. The interviews went viral because Coffeezilla asked the questions nobody else would, and SBF's evasive answers effectively confirmed what everyone suspected. It was a defining moment for crypto journalism — a solo YouTuber providing more accountability than the entire regulatory apparatus. Coffeezilla went on to investigate the LIBRA scandal in 2025 as well, interviewing Hayden Davis who admitted to cashing out $100 million.
