On September 25, 2023, Ben Armstrong announced on X that he'd be going live "from a very special location." He drove to former business partner Carlos Diaz's home to confront him over a disputed Lamborghini — while livestreaming the whole thing on YouTube. Police arrived and arrested him on camera. They also found narcotics in his vehicle. This came less than a month after he was officially removed from the BitBoy Crypto brand. It became one of the most-watched meltdowns in CT history, cementing his transformation from crypto's biggest YouTuber to its most cautionary tale.
